The following schedule ensures our divisions and prize payouts are consistent and preset, to avoid any confusion or disappointment later on.
|Entries||Division 1||Division 2||Division 3||Division 4||Division 5|
The information above is used to determine how many many divisions are paid as winners, and how much of the prize pool is shared among each division. This schedule is locked once the Competition is launched, so all Members can make an informed decision on any Prize Pool purchases.
In an ideal outcome, the winning score should receive the most prize money. So as the size of our fields increases... and it becomes more likely the prize will be split... we increase the precentage paid out to Division One.
We also want to keep people engaged and in the hunt, so as the size of the field increases, we also add extra divisions and pay out to more people.
This should be an added incentive for you to invite your friends and colleagues to join us!
As the field gets bigger, we payout more divisions... and you have a better chance of winning!
There will always be a real possibility that multiple people could share Division One while a lone competitor wins all of a lower Division, and ends up winning more cash. That's not the outcome we want, but if it happens, it happens.
No changes will be made to this payout structure once the competition begins.
Once we're underway for the 2022 Competition, we'll watch field sizes and prize pool values, so we can crunch the numbers and fine-tune this for the 2023 Competition. We'll welcome any feedback or suggestions you might have on division numbers and percentages before then.
